All the points and the money have been corrected and the parties informed on Monday June 1st at the Humphrey Tournament. Sorry for the confusion.

WOW Crofton was a Challenge.

We played in very difficult conditions at Crofton, very cool temps and a very strong NW wind. But true to form, our Members did their thing and we made a Great Tounament out of the conditions we were dealt.Gary Schoepf and Ron Nelson shot an even par round as did Brad Penlerick and Monte Miller. It playoff holes gave the Victory to Gary and Ron in the 1st flight. The 2nd flight was even tighter, all 5 of the point eaners shot 79, with Dave Hoffman and Ron Lura winning the play-off. The 3rd flight had 2 teams at 83, and Mike Taege and Don Weyrich won tht play-off.

The meal, I thought, was very good smothered pork loins with all the trimmings. Looks like next week at Humphrey will be upper 70’s and sunny. Ideal for another fun tournament with good fellowship and a really great Hostess. That tournament has been filled for a couple weeks, and we are 1 team left to fill the following week at Club 91 in Leigh. Please look at your schedules and sign up early for the rest of the rotation. We wish everyone that wants to play can play, but you must sign up well in advance. We are coming to the stretch where we can accommodate more players, so I am hoping everbody who wants to play will be able to do so.

Ponca was another great Event

The Ponca tournament was as good as advertised. We sold out, the weather was as good as you could want, and as usual the food was great.

Guys, you really need to pay attention, these tournaments are selling out EARLY!Steepleview is sold out, Leigh is getting close, even Hartington is very close, and it is at the end of June! Please pick your events and get signed up. Your checks are held until right at tournament day. We are looking at doing something to get more people able to play, but it will most likely be next year.

We have a lot of new Members, many more of our Members are PLAYERS, they want to play, so if you do, better be pro-active. We had a lot of very good scores in each flight at Ponca. I have loaded the points into the NENSGA CUP page for everyone to see. It is satisfying to see new members already scoring points,as well as some familiar names. Check out that page and PLEASE watch the tournament page for entries received. I will attempt to update this every few days.

Crofton is next, it is sold out. This is a Course we all enjoy, really great scenery, challenging holes, and a great Host. Stay tuned for results next week.

2 Days to go for Ponca, Club 91 Added!

We have only a couple of days till it’s showtime. Allan says the Course is in great shape again, the weather is supposed to be great, the food is awesome, and as usual we will have a great time seeing old friends.

Please note we have added Club 91 in Leigh to the schedule on June 8th, Monday. We looked the Course over and it is really in great shape. They did the right thing last year, and quit playing the Greens early. Then they re-seeded, and the Greens have really responded. I would say they are better than before the tough Winter of 2013-2014. As a result of doing the right thing, their revenues really suffered last year. In short they need our help to show the Golfing World that they are back. Let’s show up BIG and help them out. We are working to get an entry form that you can down-load from our Web Page. In the meantime, I have printed out entry forms and will have them at Ponca and Crofton. I will also give some to all of the Directors and to Maribeth at Club 91. She will also take phone reservations. Please note THIS EVENT ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please drive careful guys, and we will see you in Ponca. Also remember Hartington will only take 72 players!! We have filled both Ponca and Crofton very far out so if you want to play Hartington, I would say at least 4 weeks out to be sure you will get in.
