We really had a nice turn out for Rolling Hills at Wausa, a new venue for NENSGA We continue to see damage to some of the greens, and this may be an issue on some of our Courses this year. Be assured, your Board is aware and engaged in this process, and we will review each situation as we approach each event. It is our desire to walk a fine line between cancelling any event, or substituting another Course, but it is an option we will look hard at. It is our intention to play every event if possible, as these tournaments are a great source of badly needed revenue for our nine hole Courses.
Back to Wausa, Dave Claussen and Russ McKillip shot a smooth 66 to take the 1st flight, Vahle and Timms took the second flight with a 73, Winter and Knepper broke out of a 4 way tie to claim the 3rd flight, and Gaer and Brehmer claimed the 4th flight. Every flight was very, very competitive. One stroke in most flights was all that was needed to win.
We are off to Humphrey which has filled, she is actually taking 88 players. This is always one of the highlights of our year, the scores will go low, bring your A game. I have updated the NENSGA CUP points on the WEB, it is early, but we already have around 50 members that have amassed points. This season will be another race to the finish line. See you in Humphrey!
